Ceci ancora 2° e Pelloni recupera
Con la quarta tappa di questa Africa Eco Race 2017 ci siamo spostati a su ovest del Marocco ma i nostri bikers non hanno mollato anzi mantengono e risalgono. Giusto ieri mattina presto la carovana è partita direttamente da Assa con la sua prova speciale di 409 km che si è conclusa all’arrivo del bivacco di Remz El Quebir. Una giornata a tutta manetta che tra le moto è stata vinta dal leader sudafricano Sella giusto su quel Paolo Ceci in sella alla Honda Africa Twin che è giunto alle sue spalle staccato di 13’17”. In questa speciale molto lunga, come ha affermato lo stesso campione da Prignano, c’erano alternanze di piste veloci alternate da tratti molto pietrosi ed enduristici, e della mia prova sono soddisfatto anche se devo trovare una tattica più accorta per preservare il fisico e la moto in vista della Mauritania. A questo buon risultato ha risposto altrettanto bene il passionario, così si definisce, Stefano Pelloni che in sella alla Ktm 450 Rally è giunto al traguardo in settima posizione. Il tutto gli ha permesso di guadagnare due piazze nella generale dove ora è al sesto posto ed anche quinto della sua classe 450. Al traguardo soddisfatto ha dichiarato di essere molto stanco a causa della mancata preparazione sempre a causa dell’infortunio di inizio 2016. Nella prima parte ho navigato bene e ho preso due piloti partiti prima e poi li ho staccati. Nella seconda parte ho sofferto e sono caduto ma poi ho ritrovato una guida attenta ed ho concluso questa lunga speciale. Oggi fortunatamente hanno deciso di tagliare la speciale portandola a 270 km di quelli che dovevano essere 456 km da fare contro il cronometro. Importante per i nostri arrivare al bivacco di fine giornata posto sulle sponde dell’Atlantico a Dakhla dove domani ci sarà l’atteso giorno di riposo prima di ripartire per le restanti sette giornate che porteranno al Lago Rosa di Dakar.
