Nell’europeo EMX250 in Russia è ancora vittoria di Simone Furlotti
Dopo la vittoria sette giorni fa nell’Italiano MX2, Simone Furlotti ed il Team SM Action, anche nell’Europeo, salgono sul gradino più alto del podio.
Che il tracciato di Orlyonok piacesse a Simone Furlotti, lo si è intuito fina dalle prove libere e da quelle cronometrate centrando il secondo tempo entrambe le volte.Al via di gara uno, Furlotti ha un ottimo spunto al cancello e si piazza immediatamente alle spalle di Boisrame che in quel momento è il leader della manche. Per tutta la prova Simone cerca l’affondo sul francese arrivando ad un distacco sotto i due secondi. Calcolato che il rischio era troppo elevato, ed in funzione del Campionato, Furlotti ha preferito acquisire i ventidue punti della seconda piazza considerando che il Leader della generale Lesiardo ha chiuso quinto. Gara due con partenza davanti a tutti, ma una scivolata al primo giro lo relega in quarta posizione dietro al francese Guipillon, all’americano Charboneau, all’australiano Beaton che però lo passa immediatamente al primo giro. Nulla cambia fino al termine della seconda prova ma con la terza piazza Furlotti si aggiudica il GP rosicchiando in totale ben 20 punti a Lesiardo che in questa seconda manche termina soltanto 14esimo. Nella classifica generale, Furlotti si conferma secondo con uno svantaggio di soli diciassette punti dal Leader. Fra quindici giorni si correrà in Italia sul tracciato sabbioso di Ottobiano, dove proprio sette giorni fa, Simone ha vinto la quarta prove del Campionato Italiano.

“Dopo quello italiano, torniamo sul gradino più alto del podio anche in Europa. Due belle manche corse con determinazione da Simone. Non sono mancate le paure, come in gara due quando Simone era in testa ed è scivolato, ma è stato bravo a perdere poco tempo e ripartire quarto. Recuperata la terza posizione, Simone a quel punto aveva in mano la vittoria del GP. Peccato perché una eventuale vittoria ci avrebbe fatto guadagnare altri cinque punti ma torniamo a casa dalla Russia con venti recuperati sul primo in classifica. Fine settimana comunque positivo. Ora abbiamo la prova Italiana di Ottobiano dove sette giorni fa abbiamo vinto la prova dell’Italiano MX2”.
